Photo Modeling workshop Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 PM
Week One:
Comp card do's and don'ts. How your first impression can make or break you. Overview of what you will be covering in the following weeks. How to put all the elements in place: Photographer choice, wardrobe, hair, makeup, choosing the right shots, layoutand printing.
Week Two: Photographer choice
What image you are trying to portray? As a model, who are you? Critiquing theprofessionals. Do they have an artistic eye or are they techinically correct?
Understanding selective focusing, highlighting the model, lighting, creative or copycats. Make up For Photos.
Week Three: photo posing techniques
How to turn that bland shot into something ourstanding. What are your strengths and weaknesses in the eyes of the lens? Pose so you don't look posed. Facial expressions and your best side. Hands and feet. How to work with props.
Week four: Being prepared to shoot perfectly
What do I bring to the photo shoot? Hair, make up and wardrobe choices for your look.
Costume selection, clothing cuts for your figure, colors to compliment you. Bring in sample wardrobe ideas for your shoot. Accessories and props.

Put your knowledge to the test.
Week six: Critique and Selection
Viewing of the photos. How to create the best layout for your card.

The Slate: Your only chance to make a first impression!
You may have a great personality, but once that camera is on, can it still shine?How to lose the nerves enough to be yourself.
Body Language: What is it that you are silently saying?
Diction and Clarity
Week 2
Knowing your script: Cold Read? No Problem! Memorization techniques.
What you can do before to be prepared.
Connecting with the camera and making it love you.
What to say and what NOT to say in an audition.
Week 3
Do you know how to act? Emotions and the role they play. Are You Overacting or Putting The Audience to Sleep. Delivering the lines with authentic emotion.
Week 4
Now, can you act and move at the same time? Hit your marks, gestures, and working with props.
Week 5 and 6
Choosing and adapting an appropriate monologue and commercial. Your head shot and resume. What you leave behind. How to get the jobs.
Professional Runway Starting on Saturdays following the completion of the Acting Workshop.
Week one:
The business of runway modeling. How do I get the job? The go see. What to bring in my model's bag. How do I fill out a voucher?
Perfect posture and you basic model stance.
Week two:
Make up and skin care. The science of skin. Daily techniques and weekly routines for flawless skin. How to apply your make up to accentuate the positive. Colors for day, night and both. What essentials do I need to handle those beauty emergencies.
Quarter turns, half turns and three-quarter turns.
Week three:
Hair care and hairstyles for your face shape. Accessories you can't do without. How to make a quick change between scenes with or without a stylist.
Fashion show order and placement. How to read the posted scene sheets. How to keep the show running smoothly. Commentary.
Week four:
The fitting. Working with the other models. Attitude. The job of the Fashion Coordinator. How to make them your best friend.
Full turns, the Dior Turn and High Fashion Runway Intro.
Week five:
Mishaps and how to handle them. Dropped items, falling and tripping, stairs and tricky situations.
Removing your jacket on the runway. Pairs on the runway.
Week six:
Working a T, a platform, a reverse T, an I and and other runway configurations. How to look natural while addressing the audience at all times. Taking care of the clothes backstage.
Week seven:
Etiquette. Mock runway show practice. Over view and review of all lessons. Expressions for every occasion.
Week eight:
Fashion show.
