Casting for a short, independent film in Savannah Ga.
Looking for two actors.
Male - Age 30's to 40's.
Physical - Tall, gangly, sweet face.
Male - Age 30's to 40's
Physical - Short and stout.
The film is a comedy based on the O. Henry story "The Kidnapping of Red Chief".
Classic story of two bumbling crooks in the early 20th century who kidnap a young boy to hold for ransom. Through the course of events, they end up giving the boy back because he's such a nuisance to handle.
The story has been re-imagined to focus on the tall character of "Bill" and his development from a small time criminal thinking of going straight to a man who determines never to have children after dealing with the boy.
Themes of time running out, standing up for oneself and the decision of whether one is man enough to have a child.
The parts will require physical slapstick. Will be shooting over the course of two weekends in February in Savannah. To be shot on 16mm film.
