MMT_Castings

I'm a female vocalist/lyricist seeking a band. I have a background in music (reading, writing, playing multiple instruments-guitar/keyboard, mixing music/tracks electronically/digitally) and writing verse/lyrics/prose, so I'm no stranger to composition and obviously understand all basic aspects of music making. I only mention this, because it helps to be a collaborative unit, and the unit cannot function with a vocalist or member who doesn't understand music beyond mimicking sounds. So! That isn't a problem!

I prefer to play and sing melodic rock and/or alt. rock songs. I have a raspier sounding voice and lower octave vocal range than most female singers. Something like the lovechild of Brody Dalle and Amy Winehouse. I also have a very wide range of influences and eclectic musical tastes. Everything from TOOL and Nine Inch Nails to Jeff Buckley and Jay Z. So, I'm up for just about anything. Except growling and heavy heavy death metal. Not that I don't love a little Cradle of Filth sometimes, I just wouldn't be a good metal vocalist.

I would prefer to work with an established band, but I'm willing to search for other members together, as well.
