Entertainment Law Firm seeks intern to work in its Beverly Hills Office. Intern will work with Firms partners, associates, and other staff in many different aspects of the entertainment industry. Interns will participate in project development in the film and television industry, film sales, drafting and negotiating contracts, along with other fundamental skills important for the entertainment business.
The Firm works on both studio and independent films at all budget levels as well as television shows and internet projects. Some projects the Firm has worked on include, TWILIGHT, NEW MOON, THANK YOU FOR SMOKING, NEVER BACK DOWN, BRICK, and 27 DRESSES
JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Administrative duties include phones, scanning, filing and scheduling.
• Must be very familiar with Windows/Microsoft Office and able to trouble shoot issues.
• Film and Script coverage for potential new projects
• Track existing industry film projects.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently enrolled as an undergrad at an accredited university (Please, no law students).
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 3 days/20 hours per week, for a three month period.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Quickbooks.
- We would like someone that has more of an interest in the business side of the entertainment industry than legal
We are looking for candidates with an interest in the business side (and legal) of the entertainment industry. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills and an ability to work independently as well as to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively under substantial time pressure.
