Hi, my name's Alex, male, 22. I'm looking for male musicians to put together a band.

I'm available on evenings and want to start creating a band from the very beginning. Here is how I imagine this:
We meet for rehearsals like 3 times a week somewhere in West Hollywood in the evenings and try to find the best style to play. To tell the truth, there are really a few things which I like in the nowadays music. For instance, some song of Travis, Keane. But this brit-pop style is coming from the 90's still.

Yes, I consider myself as a retro-focused musician since nothing hooks me as the old stuff, though I like some things from ATB, Armin Van Buuren and even some hits of Rihana, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson. None of the male singers I like. I think they are performing too girlishly.

Here my favorite bands and singers:

Bands of rock style
- Queen
- the late Beatles
- Foreigner
- the late Pink Floyd

Bands of "new wave" style
- A-ha
- Duran Duran
- The Police and Sting

Also I admire the kings Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley

As you see, the best style I wanna play is sort of "melodic soft rock". It is really naive to think that rock and rock-n-roll are asked-for styles now. I clearly see that R-n-B, so-called "Club music" are the most asked-for. Though I have no special sympathy for these styles, I can't underrate them. That's why mixing of styles is the best for creating a really good and modern music. Anyways a good melody is always a base.

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING: Please, don't waste yours and my time if you find ANYTHING you don't really like in what I suggest. I don't require any experience. Just need the persons, age 20-25, holding the same views, at first. Later on we'll work and sort everything out - no rush.
