Abel Cine Tech is a leading camera equipment supplier to the motion picture and broadcast industries. Our Burbank CA facility is currently seeking an experienced lens and camera technician to work on lens and film camera repair for our service department. The technician must be able to perform the following job functions:
This position would encompass the following key responsibilities:
- Collimate and repair on a variety of HD and Cine lenses for service and rental departments
- Perform factory level service on the majority of Aaton cameras for the service department
- Accurately assess the repair and service needs for parts and labor costs and time frame with which the repair can be performed
- Check, inspect and clean all cameras and magazines leaving and returning from rental
- Handle incoming phone calls regarding film camera repair, problems and servicing questions as well as application issue
- Prepare new and used lenses and film cameras for sale
Requirements for the successful applicant:
- Minimum of four years experience as a mechanical camera and / or lens technician
- Strong knowledge of lenses, 16mm or 35mm motion picture cameras, lenses and accessories
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Strong communicator with ability to articulate technical issues over the phone
- Knowledge of or experience with electronics
