Abel Cine Tech is a leading HD video equipment supplier to the motion picture and broadcast industries. Our Burbank, CA facility is seeking an experienced electronics technician to join our service department. Our line of product includes Sony and Panasonic HD cameras, monitors and VTR¹s. We specialize in, P2, DVCPROHD, DVCPRO50, HDCAM, HDCAMSR, XDCAM EX,.

This is a key position within the service department that requires performing electronic and mechanical repair as well as maintenance on a variety of equipment with concentration on Panasonic HD cameras, Sony HD cameras and companion VTR¹s and monitors.

Requirements for the successful applicant:

- At least two years experience in the field of video camera/ VTR and electronics repair.

- Strong knowledge and experience with professional HD equipment and formats.

- Examine cameras and equipment to diagnose malfunctions.

- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and layouts.

- Ability to calibrate and verify the accuracy of film and broadcast equipment including video inputs/outputs, tape path, and colorimetry.

- Good experience repairing electronics to component level

- Ability to work well with clients and department to hit deadlines

- Must be very neat, well organized and detail oriented

- Good oral and written communication skills

- Commitment, drive, flexibility and multi-tasking capability a must

Knowledge and Experience one or more of the following areas is a plus...

- Optics and Lenses

- P2, XDCAM and HD tape workflows

- Final Cut and other editing systems

- Data management
