I'm looking for an experienced piano teacher who lives in my area (Koreatown/Westlake/Silverlake/anywhere near USC). I am a beginner, but I know my major and (natural) minor scales. I recenty moved to the LA area, but before then I had been taking lessons for about a year or so. I have worked on Mendelssohn's "Venetian Boat Song" in g minor and the first movement of Mozart's sonata k545. I'm primarily interested in Romantic pieces, but I wouldn't be opposed to switching back and forth between Romantic and Classical so that I can learn and practice different techniques (this is what I did with my former teacher). I don't have a piano in my apt., but I *do* have access to plenty of pianos at my school--they have open practice rooms. I'm looking for a teacher who does have his/her own piano--the lessons would have to be at your home.
I'm 24 yrs old and a graduate student, which means I can't afford teachers who charge astronomical prices per lesson. If you're interested in offering lessons, please respond to this post via e-mail.
