LAs best new blues band, THE CATS-A-RENOS, now host an open mic blues jam at the historic PIG N WHISTLE , 6714 Hollywood blvd,90028 Every Tuesday.(next to EGYPTIAN THEATER ) Recent guests include Bob Mothersbaugh of DEVO, Blues god Joe Bonamassa, and Mitch Lijewski, CEO of X-RAY DOG publishing,This has quickly become the areas coolest ( and cheapest ) jam in the area, We charge a five dollar cover and the other jams in the area have at least a two drink minimum with eight dollar drinks, you do the math. Did I mention The CATs are always looking for subs to replace members who often are gigging themselves.The CATs have hired eight replacements in the last nine weeks.
