Hollywood Rentals, the leader in motion picture equipment rentals seeks a seasoned professional for Rental Manager position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
• Responsible for the effective communication and efficiency between the Rental Office, Warehouse operations, and Live Events
• Oversee operation in Rental Office and Warehouse as well as assist with managing repairs and inventory accountability, including equipment transfers to satellite operations
• Receive all show rentals and distribute to subordinates equally
• Upkeep production board as workflow demands
• Provide educated input for bids to clients
• Review and approve all billing generated from Rental Office
o Vendor subrentals must match according to production week rentals
o Ensure customer lost & damage equipment is billed in a timely manner
o Late rental report must be printed and billed consequently on a weekly basis
• Conduct settling issues and disputes for clients
• Enforce established policies and procedures throughout operation
• Manage personnel issues according to company policy and address and resolve operation issues
• Approve overtime for Rental Office personnel
• Assist with Rental Office and Warehouse as needed; be involved in and responsible for all business and related assets
• Assess sound decisions regarding inventory deployment and replenishment of stock
• Receive clients and assure client satisfaction
• Participate in the on-call rotation with others within the company as directed
• Working overtime may be requested as needed
• Cell phone availability
Supervisory/Administrative Duties
Functions Warehouse Manager will oversee personnel that are under your direct supervision on a daily basis as it pertains to your area of employment and insure that they are completing their jobs at the expected level of performance by HR.
• Sets work schedules
• Arranges for substitute employees as necessary
• Monitors the work of employees and ensures compliance with policies and procedures; provides leadership and guidance to staff in fulfilling their responsibilities
• Control wage costs
• Review and approve time sheets for proper submission to payroll
• Demonstrate excellent motivation
• Train, Evaluate and Supervise personnel
• enforce company safety rules, policies and procedures
• Manager will assist in the interviewing and recommendation of proper personnel for hiring as it pertains to the department
Qualifications
• Advanced knowledge of theatrical, electrical, grip, distribution, and generator equipment
• Able to determine equipment needs relative to a working electric or grip package (ability to recognize missing equipment for rental request)
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services
• English Language-Communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Intermediate word processing skills; experience creating spreadsheets
Education/ Experience
• AA Degree
• Minimum of three years of experience in a managerial capacity
• Advanced working knowledge of electrical, grip, distribution, and generator department
• Minimum of 5 years experience working in a rental coordinator capacity or live events
