For Immediate Release: USA4real.com featuring Upstream Radio is pleased to announce it’s 3rd Annual Indie Music awards that will be held at the pristine Aqua Lounge in Beverly Hills, California this year on December 10th, 2009.

“We’re real excited this year about this year’s Indie Music awards. 1) 2009, we’ve had the opportunity to showcase the best talent to date on our site. 2) We’re no longer just a rock niche, we’re pop, hip-hop, R&B, but still remain indie. 3) We have 10 awards, 3 new categories this year to reward artists well deserved.”

If you’re not a member of USA4real indie music, submissions will be open to artists for nine out of the ten awards. Submission period is September 15th thru November 16th, 2009.

This year’s categories will be the following.
2009 Best Rock/Pop Newbee is an artist that is new to the USA4real community and has been accepted for Upstream Radio. Artists has a kick ass sound and shows talent early on in their career.

2009 Best Hip-Hop/R&B Newbee is an artist that is new to the USA4real community and has been accepted for Upstream Radio. Artist has multiple talents and show promise early on in their career

2009 Best LIVE Performance is judged based on the artist’s ability to entertain on stage above and beyond what we can hear on their album.

2009 Best Indie Music Video is based upon overall artistic impression and the ability to convey a message using the visual medium in addition to the music itself to tell a story. Here are the nominees for Best Music Video

2009 Most Promising Indie Artist
The Most Promising Artist is chosen based on the "IT" factor. This artist possesses the total package: talent, marketability, and desire to be successful. Here are the nominees for Most Promising Artist.

2009 Best Indie Hip-hop/R&B Single of the Year is the song within the genre that inspires and catches the ears, hearts, and minds of the listener. Generous ratings from Upstream listeners never hurt and will help the cause.
(Submit 1 song, bio, resume, etc…) Note: Each artist can submit up to 4 songs, but must submit each song separately.

2009 USA4real Indie Artist of the Year will go to the artist that has been a USA4real artist for at least six months and has shown great strides in their career toward becoming a success. This artist has also received top ratings from Upstream Radio listeners.

Rules:
1) Submit Artist to each category you feel you qualify or all deadline November 16th, 2009
2) USA4real and A&R Members will decide on Top 10 Finalists.

3) November 17th thru December 1st | User voting for each category
4) December 2nd | Final Nominees will be announced | User Voting Counts as follows. 4 votes with the highest user ratings, 3 votes for 2nd, 2 votes for 3rd, 1 vote for 4th, and 0 votes for 5th or under + A&R Members each get 1 vote. The artists with most votes via user ratings and A&R votes will receive the nominations, and the artist with most votes overall will win the 2009 USA4real Indie Awards.
5) December 10th Winners announced at the 2009 USA4real Indie Music Awards at the Aqua Lounge between 8:30pm – 11:30pm.
