My name is Joëlle, and I am in the process of putting together an all girl band for myself. I am an accomplished singer/songwriter, and I am looking to take my performance to another level. I have many hookups, and am seriously looking for the right girls to back me up. I have a BFA in Jazz Vocals/Production, but I sing absolutely any and everything. In fact, a lot of the songs I've been currently writing all have a rock/pop vibe to them. I've made a living in musical theatre so far, and to get an idea of my vocal type: I am the spawn of Billie Holiday and John Legend, but at times can get very Amy Winehouse or Areosmith for you. =) I've been all over the world, and would love to do it again with my own music. I hope you are the one. Let's jam together; share ideas! =)
For an idea of what I'm looking for, just look at Amy Winehouse's band, or Miss Platnum's (from Germany). I want to do something different. Something that will put us on the map.

I am looking for a native new yorker to play a South Bronx high school student who is good looking and has alot of natural confidence.
no acting experience necessary! you just have be comfortable in front of the camera. I want the character to seem very natural and comfortable in his surroundings that is why i wish to have someone from the area.

THIS IS A NON-PAYING role, however, food and transportation will be taken care of. as well as, of course a copy of the film.

alot of money is being put into this production in terms of equipment and i cannot afford to have someone who is will not show up on time or not be committed.

This film will be theatrically screened at Canter film center at NYU in early February, as well as being submitted into an array of festivals.

THE TREATMENT OR BASIC STORY


Bronx native, “Jeronimo”, is a “super” senior at South Bronx High School. He has an altercation with his teacher at school when he receives a failing grade for plagiarism and takes the rest of the day off. On the Subway platform he sees this beautiful girl that he cannot take his eyes off of. As they make their way further downtown Jeronimo decides to skip his stop and follow the girl. Jeronimo’s curiosity lands him at 68th street Hunter College stop where she exits the train. On the Hunter College campus Jeronimo is in pursuit about to approach the girl when she unexpectedly and aggressively turns around to yell at him for his stalking antics. Jeronimo explains how he is also a student at Hunter. His confidence and good looks is something she finds interesting, however it does not surpass his immaturity and poor ethics. She is in a hurry to go to class while Jeronimo tries to prolong the conversation and engagement. As she leaves to walk into the building with a smile on her face he feels somewhat enthused and optimistic, however, as she disappears the reality sets in that he is fucking up. He stands there idle in confusion for a short period of time. Solace Jeronimo then returns to the 6 train left with bitterness but a newfound enlightenment in his mouth
