Casting / Audition Details: PLEASE READ IN ITS ENTIRETY ATM VISIONS (Artistic Talent and Management, LLC) will be producing a short film to compete in the ABFF (American Black Film Festival) that will take place this year in Los Angeles, California Oct 25 29. And we are currently looking for SERIOUS and COMMITTED actors for the Short Six Degrees to Positive. Set in a minimum security correctional facility, Grace, Solace, and Leslie learn the true meaning behind the saying "Six Degrees". Grace and Solace have both been incarcerated, Grace a 19 year old, for prostitution and drug possession, Solace, for stabbing her husband repeatedly after finding him cheating on her. The film follows these women on their struggle to come to grips with their current situations. The women are all brought together for an AIDS Outlook meeting the facility implements and Counselor Leslie Gillespy heads the group meetings. As their stories unfold, the revelation about just how connected they are comes full circle as they realize how their sentence to death from HIV far exceeds that implemented for their stay. A true story of tragedy, triumph and coincidence.
Character Breakdown: Solace African American female age range 30 40 (A previous schoolteacher, can be very aggressive and dominate when it comes to her marriage. Maybe even slightly crazy) Grace Caucasian female age range 18 24 (An attractive and yet foolish young lady who formally lived her life on the streets prostituting and doing drugs) Leslie Caucasian female 25 32 (Counselor) Derrick ethnic male age 30 40 (An attractive masculine married business professional who has been secretly cheating on his wife). Preferred physically fit. Eric male age 25 32 (Police officer married to Leslie) Gwen African American female age 22 30 (An slightly overweight inmate) There are also 3 other female inmates we are casting for, nationality and physically appearance does not matter. Even though these characters are not principle actors they are still very vital in this short film project.
