In The Dark is a short dark thriller that develops in a small apartment. April, our main character is a young girl with high levels of paranoia, who also has a heart condition. April is left alone in her apartment and as the film progresses she starts hallucinating things, only she doesn’t know they’re hallucinations. As she imagines these things her tension increases until her weak heart gives out, and she dies. When she is found by her friend Jessica, she discovers that some of the things that happened that night may have not been products of April’s imagination after all.

African American girl of stature between 5'5' and 5'8' able to speak good english, some accent is ok. The part is a supporting role which will only be needed for two days of production to be scheduled. The character (Jessica) is a very happy person that doesn't take life too seriously. She is outgoing and free spirited.
