Director: Maggie Levin. The Real Theatre Company is holding auditions for their 2008 season!
The Real Theatre Company, founded in 2006, is a Manhattan-based performing organization focused on creating interactive, in-your-face productions. In the past year, they have produced 'Alice Through the Subway System,' and a two special presentations of the rock musical 'Hair,' in partnership with creator James Rado.
Shows slated for 2008 include a collection of Beckett shorts, 'Gorey Stories,' Paula Vogel's 'How I Learned to Drive,' and 'Bye Bye Birdie,' all to be presented in theaters around the city.
Actors & actresses of all ages and types are encouraged to attend. Musical performers should prepare a classic musical theatre song (no modern pop/rock please) under one minute long, and a one-minute contemporary monologue. All other performers should prepare two one-minute contemporary monologues.
Auditions will be held: December 9th from 12-4 PM December 11th from 1-5 PM at Shetler Studios (244 West 54th between Broadway & 8th Ave)
