Director: Paul Gasca. Casting for Suicide Comedy!
Yes- We are looking to cast two characters to play parts in our dark comedy about financial officers in the throws of suicide as they deal with a crumbling economy, not to mention relationships. *Cue laugh track. (Note: Film itself will not include laugh track, that's just tacky)
Shoot is tentatively set for December 15th-16th in Houston, TX. Not all characters needed everyday. You will be fed, and if you are traveling we will find somewhere comfortable for you to stay. Unable to pay, as this is a shoe-string/labor of love, and we are recent film school grads and busy paying loans. Of course you will get a DVD (it would be rude not to) as well as a hundred 'thank you's. And maybe we will throw in an IOU.
If you are interested, please send email to:
theedgarfilm@hotmail.com, to receive casting details.
Send head shot & resume if possible.
Thanks!

Edgar- 30-35- Edgar is the clean cut sophisticated haughty type. He needs to be smooth, occasionally aloof, but be able to break in to somewhat manic behavior. Looking for someone with a lean build, and can bring dry humor from a dramatic situation. Completely shaven heads a plus. You will also need to own a suit. Think Gene Wilder, but more 'You drank fizzie lifting drinks!'-Gene Wilder.

Derek- 25-35- Derek lies on the other end of the spectrum, being somewhat of a bumbling, wound too tight, whiny fellow. A lot of physical action is needed out of this character, so you must be willing to perform some pratfalls, and find the humor in pain. For most of the film, Derek is in an intense emotional state, so you will need to bring much energy to the performance. Having a few extra pounds on you won't hurt.
