How to Avoid the Nigerian 419 Scam.

I guess the depression has hit Nigeria hard. Last night a scam artist by the name of Sand20001 registered on MMT and sent 422 messages to members in an attempt to scam them.

I've notified the proper authorities in Nigeria. I can't say whether they'll do much.

Always protect yourself. Don't just give out your personal information. Make sure those asking for your details can show you credible work they have done.

Ask to see their website. Find out if they are based in the US or not. And if the gig is in a regulated state then look them up and make sure they are licensed.

If you are unsure whether something is legit then post in the MyModelTalk Watchlist.

If you know it to be a scam then let everyone know by posting in the scams section on MMT.

These scammers are actually a very determined people. The only way to stop them is for models to educate themselves and stop being victims.

Visit the MyModelTalk.com Scams section.
