Re: PhotoShoot in TX SCAM Hopefully models will come to realize that a real paying client, unless it is some guy in his garage who just bought a new camera at the local discount store, are not going to hire someone sight unseen after surfing to a (amateur) photo or two of them on the Internet. The times I see these types of things posted, often the poster has one or two photos on display that they took in the bathroom mirror... and they're questioning whether or not they just got offered some thousand dollar plus print job for "a major catalog." It's 100% common sense.
Pictures and a portfolio do not come first: education does. Most major markets have basic audition classes available that provide an introduction into the industry. Without some education first in how this business works, you can have all the photos in the world and will still fail.
Modeling and acting are a business and as such, they require some initial training. |
