Hey you guys,
So here's the deal, I am an up and coming artist that needs a pianist for my band! I do have gigs lined up and a manger that also books the band gigs. The vibe is classic soul from the 70's, with some funk, 1940's jazz mixed with hip-hop and reggae. Think along the lines of Alicia Keys, Maxwell, Prince, earth Wind and Fire, Luther Vandross, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Common, Mos def, The temptations.... It's a very well versed musical group. You should also know how to play top 40/jazz standards . If you think you would fit well in this group come down to ultra sound studios on Thursday. Auditions will be held this Thursday October 15th from 4-7pm at Ultrasound studios on West 30th. All details will be sent to you when you respond. There will be three songs sent for you to learn. If you are chosen for this group there will be two, 3 hour long rehearsals a week. PAID REHEARSALS!! Enough for travel and food. Gigs will be coming in as soon as the first two weeks!!! You MUST be a fast learner, and will be paid every gig unless it's for promotion which in that case will be discussed. I am looking for a people to take on tour with me and record with me at the end of February. When you respond leave a contact number so we can talk about an audition slot.
