Non-Equity Auditions Monday November 19th
ManyTracks in collaboration with Michael Chekhov Theatre Company is holding auditions for their upcoming workshop and performance of Danton's Death by Georg Büchner in a new translation from German, directed by Katrin Hilbe. Auditions will be held in Midtown from 6:00-10:00pm. Please prepare a 1-2 minute monologue.
Cast Needed Males 30's-50's
-Legendre – adult, libertine, feisty politician, smart and wily.
-Lacroix – adult, a leech. Cynical but also clear-eyed.
-Philippeau – adult, believes in the righteousness of the cause. Unlike the others he is not an atheist.
-Simon – a stage prompter: 50ies, burly, sentimental but not kind. His way of speaking, betraying a love of lofty poetic language, often used badly in overblown delivery, is his only recognizable connection to the theatre world. Comic relief.
-Other men roles.
