Hi,
This is a bit of a shot in the dark but--I need to learn how to waltz decently for an upcoming wedding, and I feel weird about asking most of my friends. Most of the dance schools I've found in Manhattan are too pricey for my budget so I'm looking for someone who is willing to offer dance lessons for a decent bargain rate or in return for creative services (I work in magazine publishing and have done design, and am also a freelance writer, so I can do resumes, bios, programme designs, limited photoshopping). Someone who is not a qualified instructor but very good at waltzing and also relatively patient will do. I can do it in-home or at another apartment (slightly preferred). I would prefer to have an instructor who is at least 5'9 or so (really sorry, but I'm that height and will probably be dancing with someone taller and would like to be comfortable with it). Guy or girl, but if a girl please know how to do the lead (I'm a girl). I don't need a ton of sessions--I would like to be comfortable at it, so at least a few would be nice.
If this fits you please send me an email. Please have some kind of references (to character) since this is in-home. I will delete all responses that seem creepy. Thanks!
