Seeking males and females for test shoot for an upcoming feature film THE MISFITS. We have already done 3 and this will the last one before the actual auditions in mid November. The purpose of these shoots is mainly technical, but also to see how certain people look in various roles. These shoots usually last 6-6&1/2 hours, and are filmed in Manhattan and Brooklyn. This also allows an opportunity for the individuals to be seen by the director and producer in advance. The premise of THE MISFITS is a secret experiment designed by the government, to produce the ultimate super solider a killing machine get's mixed up with some medication to treat terminally ill children and 5 young girls are induced with this formula and the results no one could imagine. What was a government's blunder is now 5 girl’s salvation. THE MISFITS can be compared to television shoes, ALIAS, and HEROES combined with some elements of live action anime. The film is also character driven as well which allows for strong challenging roles for actresses.
The roles for the males include several villains, boyfriends, and some really nasty henchmen.
Production on the actual feature will commence in late November/Early December. At the moment there is no pay but that may change in the near future. Excellent exposure, networking, opportunities will be available. The film is being promoted at major events in Fall 09.
As for the test shoot, we are seeking 5 females all ethnic backgrounds and types. Ages 16-25 (Knowledge of martial arts, gymnastics, and stage combat skills are helpful but not required. We will consider strong athletic or dance skills.
5-7 Males various ethnic backgrounds to play henchmen ages 18-30. Several have speaking parts.
The script is very simple not to complex, but it involves a lot of action. This last test shoot is important because this one will be shown at an event on October 28th.
