About the film
A little about the film:
Shoot dates: Nov 9 - Nov 16 2009
SYNOPSIS
A small and lively construction crew works to modernize a forsaken Catholic
church building in New York City. The young foreman Victor is tasked with
maintaining the crew’s progress and balancing its diverse set of personalities.
When an old pipe ruptures, a watermark in the plaster bears a plausible
resemblance to the Virgin Mary. Victor, a pragmatic non-believer, must decide
how to proceed amidst a chorus of opinions. Finally alone to think, he is
approached by a canny but ghostlike Sister who proffers some surprisingly nondogmatic
and sage advice, leaving us less certain about the veracity or falsehood
of the apparition, but more certain that such conclusive answers aren’t so
important after all.
Roles
THE BISHOP (45-65) – intellectual, keen; full of gravitas but very kind [any ethnicity]

OMAR (20) – feels lucky to have a job at all; eager to learn English. [Guatemalan or indigenous]
