MMT_Castings

We are shooting a short action film tomorrow called "Aces Wild". We had one of our actors pull out last minute, so we are looking for one that is free tomorrow, from 11:30-3:00pm. The part would be just for the boss character. We would only need you for one day of shooting. We have a very good cast & crew, and this film will be screened to a large group in Nov. There will be no pay involved, but we will give you a copy of the final project.

FADE IN:
EXT. EMPTY PARKING LOT - DAY
It’s a cold day. Gray skies. We open in a vacant parking lot in Brooklyn. The wind is blowing. We hold a empty shot of the pavement. Empty bottles roll around in the distance. We suddenly hear the sound of footsteps.
CUT TO CLOSE UP OF TWO FEET WALKING FORWARD
We see someone strolling forward. Taking their time.
CUT BACK TO EMPTY PAVEMENT SHOT
We hear the footsteps get louder.
CUT TO MEDIUM SHOT OF TWO LEGS WALKING FORWARD
Now we see two legs. The pace stays steady.
CUT BACK TO EMPTY PAVEMENT SHOT
The view remains still. We hear a gasp. A bloody hand suddenly appears. The hand slowly begins to pull the rest of it’s body forward, revealing a equally bloody body, an inch away from death. Crawling forward, obviously running away from something.
JUMP TO WIDE SHOT, NOW WE SEE FROM SHOULDERS DOWN
We see the man coming forward, dressed in a suit. He reaches for his coat, and pulls out a gun. A rather big gun.
CUT TO WIDE SHOT OF BLOODY BODY STRETCHED OUT OVER THE PAVEMENT
The bloody man can go no further. He lays there, struggling just to breathe. The man with the gun, his two legs appear in view. He walks slowly forward, until he is standing over the bloody man’s head.
BOSS
I’m sorry.
He gently kneels down beside the bloody man.
BOSS (CONT’D)
(Sarcastic)
Do you have somewhere to go? Did I catch you at a bad time?
CLOSE UP ON THE GUN THAT THE BOSS HAS IN HIS HANDS
He waves the gun as he talks, and then presses the front of the gun against the bloody man’s cheek.
JUMPS TO 2 SHOT OF THE BOSS, AND THE BLOODY MAN
BOSS (CONT’D)
(Puzzled)
I just find it so rude. I take time out to come find you, and right in the middle, you get up and leave.
CLOSE UP ON THE BOSS’S FACE
He looks around.
BACK TO 2 SHOT
BOSS (CONT’D)
(Disappointed)
Well, you didn’t seem to get very far though.
SWITCH TO MID SHOT OF THE BOSS
He puts his gun back in his coat, and pulls out a box of cigarettes. He puts one in his mouth, and lights it. He looks down at the bloody man, who is now looking up at him. He pulls a cigarette out, and gestures it towards him.
BOSS (CONT’D)
Smoke?
The bloody man remains silent, still struggling to breathe.
BOSS (CONT’D)
Smoking is terrible isn’t it. Smart man.
BACK TO
The bloody man tries to crawl forward again,
BOSS (CONT’D)
Now listen you stupid fuck. As much as I would love to put you out of your misery, I need you.
The Boss leans in closer.
BOSS (CONT’D)
As I hope your small minded brain has guessed already, someone talked. Someone didn’t listen to their mothers about not talking to strangers.
The Boss whips some of the blood off the bloody man.
BOSS (CONT’D)
Now say, by some act of God, or something, by the end of the day this rat is done in for..
CLOSE UP ON THE BOSS
He gives a sinister grin
BACK TO 2 SHOT
BOSS (CONT’D)
Then we call all debts paid. And you and that girly of yours can leave town.
The Boss looks at his watch.
BOSS (CONT’D)
You have till midnight.
He stands up, flicks his cigarette, and whips himself off. He stares down at the bloody man
BOSS (CONT’D)
Well! Get going! I wouldn’t waste anytime if I was you.
He begins to walk away
BOSS (CONT’D)
I think my watch is ahead.
CUTS TO WIDE SHOT OF BLOODY BODY LAYING ON THE PAVEMENT
We see the Boss’s legs walk away from the frame. We hear him walk away, and his footsteps sound dimmer. Then we hear his footsteps stop. A silent pause. We hear the footsteps again, this time getting louder. His feet suddenly reappear.
BOSS (CONT’D)
Oh, and just so you don’t think I’m playing around.
He lowers a gun, and shoots him in the leg.

FADE TO BLACK.
