Fashion Forward and Eco Friendly Salon in SoHo looking for a Salon Manager. Candidates with a completed college education will be given priority.
• Protects the assets of the Company.
• The Salon Manager is responsible for setting an example by being a role model and leader for all salon employees.
• Acts and makes decisions in the best interest of the Company.
• Promote, teach and follow-through on the 4 C's of Ultimate Exposure: cleanliness, customer service, communication, and consistency.
• Ensures and implements all policies and procedures of our salon.
• A workweek is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day or 40 hours in one week with a minimum of working 5 days in a given week.
• No time off may be taken during twice yearly fashion weeks.
• Required to have open availability.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Required to fill any last minute open/missed shift at the salon.
Primary Objective
Manages the daily operation of our flagship salon including customer service, sales, and inventory control. Implements and reviews store policies and procedures. Supervises staff, sets sales goals, and trains new hires. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The salon manager contributes to the success of our salon by supervising and coordinating the activities of salon employees to ensure friendly, professional, efficient and courteous service is provided to customers in a clean, well-maintained salon environment. Responsibilities
• Work with the owners to analyze salon numbers. Explain why numbers are high or low; what impacted the salon numbers.
• Training and development of employees to enhance sales skills and to grow with the company.
• Communicate any information regarding product, policies, training, sales techniques, and company promotions to salon employees. Communicate product knowledge to clients.
• Counseling of employees who are not meeting company standards.
• Scheduling salon employees to attend inner salon educational seminars.
• Recruit and hire qualified employees, follow through on accountability of employees and their performance with the authority to terminate.
• Leads monthly managers and owners meeting, communicates and follows through on information from the meetings.
• Follows through on Image Guidelines with all employees.
• Creates and Implements weekly schedules for all salon employees in advance.
• Creates a teamwork environment.
• Participates in offering ideas and suggestions to owners.
• Produces thorough and timely paperwork and reports.
• Produces accurate and timely weekly orders.
• Salon organization and cleanliness, Liason with cleaning company.
• Ensuring timely opening and closing of the salon, delagating to appropriate staff.
• Oversee all register descrepencies and reports
1 year Retail Supervisory Experience or Equivalent Experience
