NYU - Tisch School of the Arts student project shooting 'live' to tape with three cameras on a TV sound stage. A man commits a bank robbery from his apartment while on house-arrest, but finds the plan spiraling out of control.
Shoot will be two hours on the morning of Tues 11/10. Auditions will be held Mon 11/2. Breakfast and copy of finished production will be provided. This is a great opportunity to work in a TV studio setting and to network with NYU student filmmakers. Non-union shoot.
Characters (any ethnicity):
JOHN. Male, 30-40yrs. Currently on house arrest in his apartment for a previous crime, John is the brains of the gang - a specialist in explosives and alarm systems. He is intelligent and cunning. When a heist is put into action prematurely, John does his best to salvage the plan and ensure the safe completion of the robbery. When his girlfriend becomes involved, he realizes he has no choice but the break his parole and leave the room.
MARC. Male, 30-40yrs. Marc is the muscles of the gang. He is a risk-taker and what he lacks in intelligence, he makes up in initiative. He jumps at an opportunity to rob a bank ahead of schedule and, realizing he is in over his head, seeks out the group's technician, John, to help complete the operation. As the heist continues to deteriorate, Marc finds himself in a compromising situation.
FRANK. Male, 30-40yrs. A sly and elusive burglar, Frank isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Frank finds himself ordered to prematurely execute a bank heist, and is the main man on the ground team inside the bank. He communicates via radio back to John's apartment as he is directed on how to proceed with the robbery.
AL. Male, 20-30yrs. As a relatively new member of the gang, Al is not a participant in the current bank robbery. Instead he hides away at the gang's headquarters with John's girlfriend. When a rival gang gets word of the heist, Al is shot and John's girlfriend is captured. Wounded, Al makes his way to John's apartment to inform the others what has happened.
