Casting call for Columbia University Film School Directing Actors class exercise

Hi, my name is Mimi Lee and I'm Film Directing major in Columbia University Graduate School of Arts. In our Directing Actors class, each Director choose a scene from the play and present it in front of the class. I'll present the scene from 'Boy Gets Girl' by Rebecca Gilman.

Here we are more focusing on working with actors as director so we won't film the exercise during the class. However you will get great feedback from other directors and you may also get a chance to work with other Columbia student directors. I'll have an audition on this Sunday 11/01 at Columbia University. If you email me your headshot and resume, I'll give you more information about exercise. Thank you.

Character Breakdown

Theresa (35-40) : Writer for Magazine. Good-looking, Smart, educated, career-focused New Yorker. She has a blind date with Tony and on 2nd date, she finds out he is really weird and excuses politely herself out.

Tony(30-35) :Computer Engineer. Recently moved in NY. Good-looking but insecure, self-conscious man. When Theresa refuses him on 2nd date, he becomes real creepy and starts stalking her.
