We are currently looking for an athletic female between the ages of 28-38 to play the LIFE-DRAWING MODEL role in a new Performance Piece.
Below you will find a brief description of the performance.
Brief Performance Description-
Title: Artist Joshua Schwartz Instructs a Childrens Life-Drawing Class Based on Model Ideals
Overview: Two actors, a male and a female, will play the roles of life-drawing models. The male actor will be posed on one knee, proposing to his hopefully soon-to-be fiance, while the female actor engages in a variety of slow, drawn out, reactions. Both actors will be dressed in sheik / contemporary "office attire". While this is playing out, an actor playing the role of Artist Joshua Schwartz will be instructing a class of 8-10 kids on how to capture your scene on paper.
The performance is an hour long and serves as a commentary on shifting ideals amongst generations in America today.
Auditions will be held on Monday November 2nd. Rehearsals will take place during the first two weeks of November. The performance (1 hour long) will be on the evening of November 20, 2009.
The job is non-paying however a travel stipend may be provided for those actors living in the NYC area. Also- we expect 500+ people to attend this event and there is great potential for a repeat performance to be held in the near future.
We are looking for actors who can have fun be natural and be focused for a full hour (three hours for the Artist's Assistants).
