Bad Hat Films is casting In Confinement, a 10-min. sync color 16mm undergraduate thesis film for NYU about two scrappy kids trapped in separate NYC apartments. The kids must find unconventional methods of communication to stay optimistic in desperate times. Sara Goldstein, dir. Shoots Nov. 20-22 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
SEEKING:
HENRY: 5-10, restless yet creative, must have a wonderful sense of play and movement, is trying to have fun and connect with his peers despite being trapped in his apartment with only his mother.
EVELYN: Ellie's mother: 35-45. Depressed, hopeless, and grieving for her recently deceased father, Evelyn retreats to her bed, unable to cope with the reality of her life and modern New York. Scene requires crying.
Both roles are leading and great opportunity to show range in a reel.
