“The Induction”
We are looking for actors to be in a student short, shot on 16mm black and white film. There is no dialog in this film, we need visual actors.
“The Induction” is a horror comedy about a young woman named Elsie, an intelligent but socially inept college student/scientist in training who finds herself followed by classic horror movie monsters such as Frankenstein, the Mummy, and Dracula.
Cast of Characters
Elsie, 19-24, Caucasian, petite, her looks are very classic Hollywood. She is shy but brilliant when it comes to the sciences (chemistry, biology). She is completely invested in her schoolwork but sometimes longs for the company of friends.
Dracula, 5’6-5’9. Has sharp, pointed facial features and dark hair. Looks menacing, but his intentions are noble in the end.
Frankenstein, 6’0 and up. Broad-shouldered and lumbering, and wideset, but not entirely fat or muscular. There is a distant glimmer of sadness in his eyes but he is capable of a smile.
The Mummy, 5’7-6’0. He is thin and lanky. His movements are jerky and erratic.
If you are not cast as any of these roles, we also need extras for one scene.
