I need male and female dancers, from 5’5” to 6’2", to perform in an art film - set to shoot this weekend!
Saturday, November 7, 10-6: learn a modernized minuet from a New York Baroque Dance Company choreographer, in a troupe of 10-12 dancers.
Sunday, November 8, 10-6: Dance is performed on-set.
This will be a stunning piece, wherein each dancer, with their stylized minuet gestures, becomes an element of an op-art painting come to life. And it will be shot on 16mm film!
We will provide makeup and costumes, which are essentially shoulder-to-knee-length boxes. This piece is scheduled to premiere in New York, March 2010, and will be screened internationally afterwards in dominantly gallery and museum contexts.
Travel expenses and meals will be provided. At the end you will receive credit on the film and online, a watermarked DVD, and non-watermarked productions stills and video clips (of high quality) for your own promotional purposes.
