I've had to read this over a couple of times...

Although your second post is wishing to not be associated with him...your first post is defending him and the company's events.
When they contract your services; by affiliation you are associated.
There is an old cliche' saying comes in to play
"you are who you hang around." So, I definitely would suggest re-evaluating your business relationships if you wish to have a good reputation. Dealing with a company such as this will not help that effort.
I know you've gotta make your money...and there's nothing wrong with it as you ARE a photographer. BUT, if it's your reputation and name you are concerned about
(and rightfully so...) then you do care who you are associated with.
As for Runway Placement...they are becoming well known for burning bridges, misleading people and charging for unnecessary services
(or placing charges on services that require no charge. i.e. to walk in a runway show. And, as often as they claim to be doing shows...it's bound to cause attention.
The most common things I've seen is the "register to walk the runway" type deal. No model should register to be in a fashion show. It's not ethical. And, it's not common practice in the mainstream arena. If it's a mixed-show (as in designers) then the designers usually have to register to advertise their designs...most times they have to hire the models directly or ask the models to walk for free. If it is for a specific designer..then they usually hire a fashion show coordinator who assists with hiring models are searching for models to walk for free.
I've only heard of "occasional" fund-raisers that request a registration fee, but then it's a fund raisers. And, they only sometimes charge the models and designers, while really hoping for the "big" money checks from the vendors.
With these few posts above and others in the past,
especially on the craigslist.org site, of those who've dealt with them...you simply can't go against that and claim he is not a scam.
I've seen your work...definitely like the OMP stuff.
But, most of it is not really straight-up fashion. It's more editorial (Meaning you're conveying more than the "fashions" by having an underlying story.) Which for a mainstream model's book or comp card, unless it's a tearsheet, these types of images are not beneficial to him/her. Although there ARE needs for them...but usually it's the client that needs those sort of images to sell or tell a story. Although you also have a good deal glamour work. But, not too many standard fashion shots that a model will need t land an agency or get hired by a client...again unless it's a tear sheet from previous work hired for.
Again, the work is good. Just most of it is not straight-up fashion = which is...no emotion, no theme, just showcasing of clothing.
Which for a runway company is more ideal especially in the low lighting that is normally used.
Do you have more of the strictly fashion shots we can see?
I saw a couple, but didn't find alot of them...

1) Her fee is "usually" 300 dollars, but because he's going to pay $100 of her normal fee from a 'model scholarship fund' he has to help new models, but whatever we do, don't mention this to her until after the shoot is done that we're getting the 'special' price.
2) it HAS to be done within the next 48 hours.

This alone should make you rethink your business relationship. He's asking talent to purposefully deceive you.
