A guy named Louis Mendez posted ads in NewYork and Georgia claiming to be looking for model/actresses for Hip Hop Movie Roles. Upon replying to the ad, he offered me a "role" in the movie that was supposed to be shooting in Brazil. I was to be paid $2500 for the role and the trip was to be all expenses paid by Allstar Models. He told me all I needed to do was get a passport and send them $250 for my workpermit VISA and insurance for my protection incase of any injuries that may or may not occur on set. And the $250 would be returned upon completion of the filming. He returned all of my messages and phone calls before I sent the money. But after I wired him the money, he didn't return any of my phone calls or voicemails. He sent me one short e-mail appoligizing for the delay for every 3 e-mails I sent him asking what was going on. All the way up until a week before the dates of the trip he ignored me and some other girls who were supposed to go and kept assuring us that he was taking care of all the arrangements. Then just stopped all together returning calls and messages. I ended up networking with some of the other models who were supposed to be going and he had scammed us all. He had a yahoo e-mail address and a myspace page. On the myspace page he had pix of models who supposedly worked for Allstar models. This guy had multiple myspace pages and was posing as different female models, posting comments on his own page to make us all think it was legit. This guy is a complete and total sleaze. WATCH OUT for anybody asking you to send them money for ANY reason. I had to learn the hard way. And it's not only the $250 I sent him, it's that plus the $280+ dollars I spent to get an expedited passport and the 10 days I requested off from work to go on the trip. Those hours I wasn't able to get back, so I had to be off with no pay, my money is still messed up from that. I am a single mom with 2 kids and no childsupport so that really hurt. I don't have any money to just throw down the toilet. WATCH OUT FOR THIS GUY!

Ok, Did you report this to the police and to the labor boards in Georgia and New York? I'm not sure if you can but it may be a good idea to report it to your bank as well.

The bank account you wried that too. Was it in the US? It sucks that you went through that. Don't let that steer you off course. Happens to us all...
