2 years ago, in the early year of my career, I contacted TR Talent Rock thinking it was a legit convention they were hosting. I kept having to push back my attendence, and was supposed to attend the Convention in December 2006, until I found online about the company being a SCAM. I then called up to push back my date again and buy more time in order to file suit and attempt to get my money back from them, at least partially if not in full. When i did this I now had to pay an additional $150 transfer fee plus an extra $300 cause the "hotel for the convention was more expensive". Is there anyone who knows of an attorny who would take a case such as this or where I might look for one? Please help me out here. I didn't know any better at the time and have been trying to get my money back ever since.

I have been in a situation like that when I was in college. I just had to cut my loses and be more careful next time.

It would have to be someone within a state attorney general's office.
They handle all company frauds.

According to this article Talent Rock was sold and the new company is called Talent Rock Holdings ... They claim to be starting a new. -Mykkal
