I got an email from a guy claiming to be Paul Botha from Ruff Tung and needing models. I will post it after this...I filled it out and sent it in (why not right?) Well I got 3 money orders totaling $2550 sent to me today. I am afraid to cash them! I am 150% serious and I need some advice. I have to cash them and send all but my $500 (advance pay for the show) to a travel agent in Africa (where Ruff Tung is based). I get all my travel arrangements sent to me once the agency recieves the money. Then I get paid the other $500 after I work the show in NY. HELP! This is weird but they are real money orders. What do I do?!?!

I was contacted for the same thing. It kept getting more and more suspicious, so finally I called the FBI who confirmed for me that this is a scam!!! Also note: Tony Greene from Modella Fashion House is part of the same scam!!!

Could you post the contact information of the agent/person you spoke to at the FBI so that others can contact them if they go through the same thing?

Well, the funny thing is, I contacted the local Knoxville FBI, and the gentleman listened to my story and told me that it was a common scam from Nigeria for money laundering. I then asked him what I should do with money orders and all of the correspondance...he said to rip it up just like any other junk mail... I thought that was also very odd... I still might contact the national FBI office and see what they recommend, so if anyone has spoken with someone in the FBI who gives a crap, let me know. Right after I spoke with the FBI, this "Paul Botha" impersonator called me from, it seemed, a scrambled number urging me to send the money, blah blah blah... Not fun. I can't imagine that this shouldn't be investigated from the FBI... Just when we thought they cared about National Security...
