States that Regulate Talent Agencies

Rating: (1 votes - 5.00 average)

I found this information while looking through the ATA (Association of Talent Agents) website. Attached is a Microsoft Word document which details each state and whether they regulate talent agencies or not. If they do, then the document also details whether the agency must be bonded and for how much.

Pretty useful tool. I encourage everyone to download this document and refer to it when dealing with agencies. Remember the document is only as accurate as when it was edited and uploaded.

Click below to see the original link. I've attached the new version of the document to this post.

This is DEFINITELY a great resource to have.

thanks for finding it. I was thinking of going to look for something to post for each state, myself.

But the ATA site is beyond perfect.

I agree. Wow, great document. I have saved this.

By the way, Angelus, I saw you up on the front page of Ujena Talent today.

You did???

Wow... OK.

You know, I totally forgot about having a profile there.

I got the PR Director to sponsor a runway event in '05 with the swimwear suits and so I signed up then. I even became an affiliate and sold some of the clothes. That was two years ago and there was no traffic to the site so I left it alone.

And, lately just out of the blue I've been getting friend requests from there...so I am slowly updating it and deciding on whether or not to put any actual effort in doing so.

To me it just looks like another online profile I'd have to keep up with.

Actually, my best friend and top model (actually, she is on my avatar with me) has a profile there http://www.ujenatalent.com/masters/14147.html and it is the only online portfolio site that she has actually ever received REAL jobs and interest from. In fact, as a result of the site, she is currently involved in a development deal (on the production side) for a network television prime time show. It's also produced offers for runway work in Turkey and Milan (all researched and verified legit). I'm pretty happy with Ujena Talent.

Back in the 1980's, Ujena had actual storefronts franchised... I came very close to buying into one for San Diego (where I lived at the time). One of my own first photography credits published was in their magazine in 1984.

We'll send you friend requests. Mine is http://www.ujenatalent.com/masters/11259.html
