I am new here, and I'm hoping you all can help me. I am wondering if Model Productions is a legitimate company or a scam. They have this huge catwalk set up in our local mall with sign up sheets for all those interested to sign up. Well, I signed up my 2yr old son and my 4yr old daughter. They called me first for my daughter, and then the next day for my son for "auditions". Anyway, we went to the auditions. They had to memorize a line and walk down the catwalk. They both did a great job and were both picked. We then were instructed to line up to pay for our "photo shoots" that we had to schedule for the next week. $150 for each photo shoot for 15 pics. The next step after the photo shoot, is a "fashion show" where contestants have to decorate these t-shirts with "model productions" written on them and model them. There is also a talent show, where everyone has 45 sec to do something special, like sing, act out a commercial, dance, etc...
If you are picked at the end of these shows, you win a 1 yr contract with them and they are supposed to get you modeling/acting auditions or whatever. As you can see, I am very new to this. I know absolutely nothing about the modeling industry. I do think my children would do quite well in modeling, and I would love to pursue it but I'm a little uneasy about this company. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.
