I submitted to this ad as well. When I got response I pretty much ignored it. A few weeks later I decided to pursue it and emailed the address back. I got the same return email saying I was chosen. I then asked one of my industry friends about it and she told me it sounds like a scam so i left it alone. I got an email from them yesterday saying the interviews in Orlando would not go forth because the interviewer is ill. So glad I didn't waste any more of my time.

Default Woman Magazine/Ad- Ted Foster

Guess who contacted me after a FAILED attempt to get another model to talk me into removing my posting about a criminal investigation? You got it! Ted Foster!

He accused me of making derogatory remarks about his company and said others models wanted to "attack" me! If anything, I believe models were questioning his services. I explained to him my concerns:

The webpate was outdated a whole month.
He seemed like a one-man company.
Different fees asscoicated to different models for the same services.
No ID check for a background check.
No real photographer.
Amateur pics were sent to models.

I explained to him that I spoke the truth and didn't add or leave out anything that happened. I told him that I would not stand there and let myself or any model get scammed. I'm a woman who speaks up and if I don't know something, I'm going to check it out. I told him others models shared the same concerns and I'm speaking up for them as well. From the conversation, I don't believe he actually read what I posted earlier. I asked him why he didn't contact other models who spoke of their disappointment with his company. The only difference between mine and theirs was the criminal investigation. He didn't give me an answer.

He said I was not chosen because my resume was "incomplete". (He mentioned this to me AFTER he learned about my intentions.) I asked him not to use my photos for any purpose. He assured me that my interview photos would not be used in any way and would be destroyed. I did not do a callback or a photoshoot. I only paid $15 throughout the whole process. He said I would get my refund. I told him I would repost once I received my refund. (Guess who got the refund?!)

When I did not get the refund as told by Ted, I emailed Fecia Foster. I think she may be his wife, but I'm not sure. I told her my refund was not received and that I would follow through with my investigation the next day. Well, the next morning I got an email from her with the tracking # to usps.com confirming my refund was sent. I'm guessing they wanted to "keep me quiet" so that they could continue to scam others. Because I have my refund, I cannot file a complaint.

I encourage other models to do the same if you feel you have been done wrong. Try to contact Ted or his Fecia. If that fails report them to the agencies listed on this website. Ted is counting on models to keep quiet and go with the flow. He knows there are models new to this and don't know many things when it comes to modeling. Don't back down ladies! I'm here to help us all get ahead, not just myself.

Last but not least, thank you MyModelTalk for making it possible for me to share my thoughts and views. Thanks again for still bringing opportunities my way. Great website!

Adriana
