Worldwide in Georgia

I'm not really sure about this company. They posted a flyer on craigslist which makes it suspicous already but I just wanted to see what they offered. I sent them an image and they responded promptly and said that I was accpeted from all their respondents. It was strange because their gimick was that they'd send you 12 outfits each month for you to wear and photograph yourself in. To use your own or provided digital camera to shot pictures with their products and then send them back the pictures and the products. Income would usually be through how much you sell of the product you are making and usually, the pictures were take can only be in one magazine/print a month. However, the huge caveat in this was that there is a $289 charge due tot he fact that many of their past customers have stolen their clothes, camera and thye have lost money but trusting their hires. The $289 is a security deposit and they said we should get it back by modeling the clothing. Im just wondering if this is even legitmate because I've never heard of this business or anything like this before. They even said that they were a christian business so it seems that they are trusted. But I'm not going to give them my money just yet.

Oh and the checked the BBB and they are not listed and had one complaint against them but also it was resolved so I don't know about this yet.

I've heard this type of thing reported as a scam before. And if they really wanted to sell product, they would use a professional photographer in a studio, not have you take pictures of yourself. That makes no sense.

Also, even if they were sincere, they certainly would be clueless business people to send product to people they don't even know expecting to get it back in the first place, so this is just a story to justify why you should send them money.

Finally, just because they are supposed Christian doesn't mean anything. They can say whatever they want; it doesn't mean it's true. And even then you have the Jimmy Swaggerts of the world and so on, and they lie and scam people. Finally, Christians don't ave a lock on honesty and ethics anyway; non-Christians can be just as honest and ethical as anybody else.

Check out this link. There's been a lot of discussion on Worldwide.

I wouldn't trust them if I were you. Still, draw your own conclusions.

Thanks so much for justifying my thought also. Oh and the link for the alternative discussion isn't the same company. This company is just woldwide, not impact worldwide, and has a whole different website too. I thought it was pretty sketchy to begin with. About the Christian thingy, usually those types of organizations are known to be honest but yeah your right, i can't trust them based on a whim, thanks agin for your thoughts and help!
