I don't know if I should have started another thread or not. but I think there is a tendency to be too harsh on Craig's list. I got a nice gig doing a tv commercial from Craig's list. Since I'm represented in this region, I submitted to these guys and told them I was represented. They wanted to go with me, so I told them to contact my agency which then checked them out and handled the arrangements. It not only came out nicely, but it was a lot of fun to shoot! So good things can come from Craig's list.

Unfortunately, to find those one or two one has to filter through all the scams and porn ads. You're correct, there are the occassional legit ones - but on the whole, most things listed should be taken with a grain of salt.

There are a number of private "mail box services" located on Wilshire Blvd. These places provide, essentially, post office boxes that have a "suite" number, implying it is an office when in reality... it is nothing more than a front for what are basically P.O. boxes, privately run. You don't even have to live in L.A. to use services like this. You can have them receive and then forward your mail to you from the "suite" address to anywhere you are in the country... or the world. Just pay the fee.

lol, I fell victim to that a few times myself back when i was into runway myself as a model... *oh the glory days*....

One day I'll have to post a few photos. I'm aware that most of you have no idea what I look like
