I spent the day at Tupac Amaru Center for the Arts. The celebratory event was held in the peace garden. Despite the rain, hundreds of people showed up. The dew drops from the rain dissipated as the warm energy from the sun shined on the smiling faces of the children. The gas issue, police brutality, the disparity in the health care industry and injustice in America were espoused upon through poetry, song and dance.
